PSVR Nausea Rating: Low to Moderate
I had little to no issues but had to play around with the comfort settings to get there. In the demo, I needed to play with 30 degree turning and slow walk speed, anything more was uncomfortable. In the final release I was able to play on Smooth turning, 5 turn speed, and Normal walking speed with no issues. Some people may feel moderate nausea but there are numerous comfort settings available so be sure to experiment and find what works best. Trust me, it’s worth it!

Closing Thoughts
With Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Capcom has finally taken a huge step back to the horror roots this series is known for. Shifting to first person pays off and adds a new, refreshing twist to the formula. I love that it respects where the series has been but isn’t necessarily trapped by it’s history. It helps the game find a perfect balance between being a full-fledged sequel and a reboot of sorts. There are jump scares aplenty, but more importantly there is a constant, creepy, tense atmosphere that weighs over you throughout your entire play through. The Bakers are memorable antagonists that are truly terrifying and make you feel uneasy anytime they are on screen. Playing the entire game with PSVR further enhances the impact of these elements and help you absorb it all on a whole different level. This is an absolute must play for those PSVR owners out there, especially if you have a PS4 Pro. I absolutely loved my time with RE7, and playing with PSVR on the Pro is one of my most memorable gaming experiences of my 30+ year gaming life. I can not recommend it enough! Resident Evil is finally back, and I couldn’t be happier!
